(Albany, NY) -- Governor Cuomo is granting pardons to seven people who were at-risk for deportation because of minor criminal convictions.
t's the third time the governor has pardoned people who were about to be deported. Cuomo says he took into account people's behavior after their convictions as well as the service they've given back to their communities. Most of the seven people pardoned had previously been convicted of possession or sale of a controlled substance.
