Search For Missing Poughkeepsie Man Is Suspended

(Poughkeepsie, NY)  --  The search for the man who went missing in the Hudson River last week was suspended last night.

49 year old Paul Moschitta was in the River off of Waryas Park in Poughkeepsie on Tuesday when he got pulled away by the currents.  The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office says the search is suspended pending further developments.Since Tuesday searches were conducted off the Poughkeepsie shoreline  using  various methods including aerial search by helicopters, surface searches by boats and underwater searches using sonar and police divers.Agencies participating in the searches include:  City of Poughkeepsie Police and Fire Departments, Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, Dutchess County Regional Underwater Search and Recovery Team, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, State Police, State Park Police and the US Coast Guard.
