(Albany, NY) -- A state-wide crackdown on speeding on state and local roads including on Interstate 84 and the NYS Thruway began yesterday.
Law enforcement agencies throughout New York State are on the look-out for drivers who are going too fast. According to officials, August of 2016 was the deadliest month for speed-related crashes, with 39 deaths reported. Last year during Speed Week, state police troopers issued more than 30-thousand speeding tickets.
