President Trump Visits Upstate New York Today

(Jefferson County, NY) -- For the first time since taking office, President Donald Trump is coming to Upstate New York today.

He'll be visiting Fort Drum to meet with troops and sign the National Defense Authorization Act. The White House says the legislation sets the budget and priorities for the defense department. President Obama was the last commander-in-chief to visit the base back in 2011. After visiting Fort Drum, President Trump will be at a fundraiser for New York Congresswoman Claudia Tenney.
