(Albany, NY) -- With the end of the summer travel season just ahead on Labor Day weekend, gas prices around the state are up slightly.
According to gasbuddy.com the average price of a gallon of regular is at $2.97 in New York State. Prices at the pumps in Poughkeepsie are right in line, ranging from $2.93 to $3.09 for a gallon of regular.
It probably doesn’t make sense to drive to Irving, New York for a fillup, south of Buffalo, but they have the lowest gas prices in New York State. Stations there are charging $2.49 for a gallon of regular.
