(Wappinger, NY) -- State Police are looking into a fatal traffic accident in Dutchess County.
They say 30-year-old Graciela Gonzalez was hit by a Volkswagen Jetta while she tried to cross Route 9 in Wappinger near Old Hopewell Road Wednesday night. The driver had a green light and didn't see her in the intersection. She was pronounced dead at the scene. No criminal charges have been filed.
The investigation continues and police ask anyone who witnessed the accident to call them a (845) 677-7300.
