Two Storms Could Form Into Hurricanes

(Miami, FL) -- Forecasters are keeping their eyes on a couple of systems in the Atlantic and Caribbean that could develop into named storms.

One system brewing off the coast of West Africa has a good chance of forming into a tropical depression and could eventually become a hurricane early next week. If it does strengthen it will be named Florence. There's no word on whether it could pose a threat to the U.S.

Another system in the Caribbean could also become a named storm. However, forecasters say it will have a greater chance of strengthening into a tropical cyclone system once it moves into the Gulf of Mexico next week.
