(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- Dutchess County Executive and Republican Candidate for Governor Marc Molinaro is getting some good news from a new poll.
The poll commissioned by the Reform Party and conducted by Liberty Opinion Research shows Governor Andrew Cuomo with a 46 to 43 percent lead over Molinaro. Earlier more mainstream polls have had Cuomo with a double digit lead over Molinaro. Molinaro also has the Reform Party line in the Governor’s race.
If Cuomo wins his primary race, the news is even better for Molinaro in the poll when the other expected third party candidates are factored in on the ballot. The incumbent Governor has just a one point lead with Cuomo at 31% of likely voters to 30% for Molinaro. Trailing behind is Cynthia Nixon at 14%, Stephanie Miner 5%, Larry Sharpe 5%, Howie Hawkins 5%, and 10% not sure.
