NYC Will Mark The Anniversary Of The 9/11 Attacks

(New York, NY) -- New York City is getting ready to mark the 17th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks.

The September 11th Memorial and Museum will hold its annual reading of the names ceremony in Lower Manhattan on the 9-11 Memorial Plaza remembering the nearly three thousand people killed in the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and Flight 93 attacks. The ceremony will pause at six moments to mark the times that each plane hit the towers, when each tower fell and to mark the moments of the attacks on the Pentagon and on Flight 93.

Later in the day, the Port Authority will hold their annual remembrance service at 2 p.m. to remember their 84 employees who died.
