Four Dutchess County Bridges Will Get Upgrades


(Poughkeepsie, NY)  --  The New York Department of Transportation says construction is underway on nearly $14 million in rehabilitation work to six bridges in the Hudson Valley including four in Dutchess County.

The 2 bridges carrying Route 9 over Fishkill Creek in the Town of Fishkill will have their concrete beams replaced.

The bridge carrying the Taconic State Parkway over the James Baird State Park Entrance Road in the Town of Lagrange will undergo a superstructure replacement.

The bridge that carries Interstate 84 westbound over Route 52 in the Town of East Fishkill will have its joints and railing replaced, and repairs will be made to the concrete deck, steel and concrete substructure.

Any lane closures or detours will be announced ahead of time.
