(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- Students returned to Wingdale Elementary School in Dutchess County today, after classes were cancelled for two days due to mold concerns. Dover Schools’ Superintendent Michael Tierney says part of the Wingdale School is sealed off and two high powered air scrubbers have been installed as the cleanup continues.
In a note to parents, students and staff, Superintendent Tierney says that a certified team of cleaners are working on the affected rooms. He says once the cleanup is complete there will be a re-inspection. Students will not be allowed back into the rooms until the “air quality tests come back satisfactory.”
