(New York, NY) -- Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed a bill that will let New Yorkers with chronic pain buy medical marijuana.
Cuomo says he hopes that pain sufferers will choose marijuana over more addictive opioids. The state recently added chronic pain and PTSD to the list of treatable conditions for medical marijuana. Meanwhile Governor Cuomo says his staff is working on legislation that would make recreational marijuana available to New Yorkers over 21. The Governor will hold a marijuana listening session in Newburgh next week.
