(New York, NY) -- Republican Candidate for Governor Marc Molinaro says waste and inefficiency must be confronted within the MTA before a long-term revenue source is established.
He acknowledged that congestion pricing makes sense as a way to fund subway repairs, which the incumbent Governor Andrew Cuomo supports. Molinaro says his tax-plan would allow for residents to deduct congestion pricing expenses from their income tax, if such a measure was passed. He accused Governor Cuomo of being unwilling to confront spending issues within the current MTA structure.
