Millions Of Pounds Of Beef Are Being Recalled

(Poughkeepsie, NY)  --  Millions of pounds of beef are being recalled over fears of salmonella contamination.

The JBS Tolleson  company has been identified as the probable source of the raw meat products linked to dozens of reported cases of salmonella in 16 states including New York.

In New York the beef was sold under the Gourmet Burger, Grass Run Farms , Showcase , and other brands.  The Food Safety and Inspection Service is concerned that some products may be frozen and in consumers’ freezers.  Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. They  should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
