Marc Molinaro Says He Is Closing The Gap

(POUGHKEEPSIE, NY)  --  Marc Molinaro says momentum is on his side, just one day before New York residents cast their votes.

A new poll shows the Republican candidate for governor is closing the gap between him and incumbent Democrat Andrew Cuomo. According to the Siena Research Institute, Governor Cuomo has a 13 point lead over Republican challenger Molinaro. In October, he was up 22 points.

One reason for the decline is independent voters, who favor Molinaro by seven points. Last month, Cuomo was ahead ten points among those New Yorkers. Molinoaro also leads Cuomo among upstate voters.
