(Kinderhook, NY) -- Democrat Antonio Delgado is declaring victory against incumbent Congressman John Faso.
Polls showed the race neck-and-neck leading up to election day. Delgado spent much of the campaign talking about healthcare and pledges to work to bring jobs to New York's 19th District. Delgado got about 50 percent of the vote to 46 percent for Faso.
The region includes parts of the Catskills and Hudson Valley. Faso was endorsed by both President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
