(New York, NY) -- Preparations are underway for the 92nd annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. New floats this year include Elf Pets, Fantasy Chocolate Factory and Splashing Safari Adventure. The parade's signature star Tom Turkey will be getting a makeover.
"Since November of 1924, the Macy’s Parade has enthralled the nation and become synonymous with the start of the holiday season. For the 92nd edition, the line-up will feature 16 giant character balloons; 43 novelty balloons, heritage balloons, balloonicles, balloonheads and trycaloons; 26 floats; 1,200 cheerleaders and dancers; more than 1,000 clowns; and 12 marching bands."
Tomorrow, local elementary school children in New Jersey will get a sneak peek at the new floats at the Macy's Parade studio in Moonachie.
