(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- Many schools are posting early dismissals as the first snow storm of the season is set to hit the Hudson Valley.
Pine Plains, Marlboro, Walkill, Pine Bush and Onteora are among the schools with early dismissals today. Other schools, including Arlington and Kingston are cancelling after-school activities for today. Check out the full list at www.1450wkip.com.
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for this afternoon into Friday morning. For the Mid-Hudson the agency says they are predicting accumulations of 4 to 8 inches with up to a tenth of an inch ice accumulation. They say hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commute.
