Busiest-Ever Thanksgiving Travel Holiday

(New York, NY)) -- This Thanksgiving travel season is expected to rank as one of the busiest ever for airlines.

Industry group Airlines for America reports with airfares down five-percent from this time last year, airports around the country will be busy including those operated by the NY Port Authority.  The group says more than 30-million passengers are expected to take to the sky for the Thanksgiving holiday.

TSA officials are recommending passengers get to the airport two hours before their flight to ensure they have enough time to get through security. If passengers are bringing any Thanksgiving food items to the airport, the TSA says solid foods can go in a traveler's carry-on baggage while liquids over three ounces must go in checked baggage.
