Plane Headed For Dutchess Makes Emergency Landing

(Paramus, NJ) -- The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the emergency landing of a single-engine plane headed for Dutchess County.

The plane was scheduled to land at Hudson Valley Regional Airport in Wappinger but instead made an emergency landing on a Paramus golf course. Eyewitnesses say pilot and Manhattan high school teacher Jonas De Leon landed the plane on the 9th hole of the course yesterday.

There were four people on-board the plane that had just taken off from nearby Lincoln Park Airport, including DeLeon's eleven-year-old son. The pilot, his son and a third person have been hospitalized for minor injuries.
