Times Square Gets Set For New Year's Ball Drop

(New York, NY) -- Organizers are getting ready to ring in the new year in Times Square.

Two giant, seven-foot-tall, one-and-nine numbers will arrive today on a flatbed truck where they will be on display through next week. They'll then head up to the top of One Times Square to complete the 2-0-1-9 sign that lights up at midnight on December 31st.

Other events will take place the week after Christmas including the Waterford crystal installation, Good Riddance Day, the New Year's Eve confetti test, and the New Year's Eve ball test.
