(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- A bicyclist suffered serious injuries after being hit by an SUV on New Hackensack Road.
Town of Poughkeepsie Police say it happened around 8:08 last night near Cedar Valley Road. The 47 year old bicyclist from Poughkeepsie was transported to a local hospital suffering serious but non-life threatening injuries. The 46 year old driver from Poughkeepsie was not injured.
“The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Arlington Fire District and Mobil Life Support Services. New Hackensack Road was closed for approximately three-hours while crash investigators processed the scene. The investigation is ongoing and the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Traffic Enforcement Unit is asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them at 845-485-3680.”
