NYS Thruway Drivers Get Accidental Warnings

(Albany, NY) -- If you use cashless tolling on the state Thruway and received a speed warning last month, you may get to ignore the notice.

The New York State Thruway Authority says many E-ZPass users got a speeding notice in the mail, warning that their account could get suspended following the next violation, according to The Journal News. However, those warnings were meant for drivers speeding through toll booths.

The Thruway Authority believes the glitch targeted drivers traveling on January 24 and is working to determine how many motorists were affected.
