Poughkeepsie Ties Record For Spring Rain Days

(Poughkeepsie, NY)--Poughkeepsie tied a record for the most days with measurable precipitation over an observed time span in the Spring.

It happened between April first and May 15th when there were 27 days of measurable precipitation at the official Poughkeepsie National Weather Service station at the airport.The 27 days tied a record set back in 1943.

Meanwhile it was even wetter at JFK Airport in New York City.According to the National Weather Service the busy airport experienced 32 days of measurable precipitation during that same time span.
