Two Teen Pedestrians Are Struck And Killed


(Rock Hill, NY) -- Two teenagers were hit and killed by a car over the weekend in Sullivan County.Police say the accident took place on Glen Wild Road in Rock Hill Sunday afternoon. The driver stayed at the scene. 

According to State Police, the “preliminary investigation revealed a 2018 Hyundai Elantra, operated by Isaac Kantrowitz, age 86 of Woodridge, NY, was traveling southbound on Glen Wild Road when he struck two pedestrians walking southbound.”Police say 14 year old Justin Finkel and 16 year old Devin Zeininger both from the town of Thompson were pronounced dead at the scene.Monticello schools have grief counselors available today.

“Rock Hill EMS responded to the scene to assist. This is an ongoing investigation. State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact the State Police at Wurtsboro at 845-888-2681 and reference SJS# 8949583.”
