(New York, NY) -- Some of 24 goats called in last month to tackle a poison ivy and weed problem in Riverside Park are on the unemployment line this morning.
The Riverside Park Conservancy says the goats have done an amazing job eating the unwanted weeds that were choking the vegetation in the park. So much so, that they have sent six of them back to their owner Green Goats in Rhinebeck. More than 40 goats are employed in parks this summer across the city to clear public spaces of weeds.
