(Vernon, NY)--The on-again, off-again Woodstock 50 music festival now appears to be off-again, this time for good. This, after the Vernon, New York planning board yesterday rejected an appeal for a permit by festival organizers.
Promoters issued a statement saying without a venue or permits at this point, "there's no time left to do so." The festival had been scheduled for August 16th through 18th. At first, it was going to be held at the Watkins Glen International Speedway, but the venue pulled out. Then, organizers moved to try and hold it at Vernon Downs in Vernon when their permit was rejected and now, denied on appeal.
