Police Respond To Threat At Roosevelt High In Hyde Park

(Hyde Park, NY) -- There was an increased police presence at Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park today after a threat appeared on social media last night.

The threat that there would be a shooting at the school today was determined not to be credible. Town of Hyde Park Police and Dutchess County Sheriffs deputies worked with school administrators this morning on increasing security. All student backpacks and bags were checked before students were allowed to enter the building. That led to a delay in classes at Roosevelt High this morning.
