Suspect Arrested In Two Dutchess County Bank Robberies

(Airmont, NY) -- A suspect has been arrested in a series of bank robberies including two in Dutchess County.

Yosef Ziegler was arrested by federal authorities in Airmont Tuesday, and now faces numerous bank robbery charges. The U.S. Attorney's office says the 29-year-old allegedly claimed to have a bomb during the broad-daylight bank robberies, which occurred throughout the year in places like Pomona, Wappingers Falls, Park Ridge New Jersey, and Fishkill. The banks robbed in Dutchess were both Trustco bank branches. Ziegler allegedly made off with over 230-thousand-dollars from the four heists, and faces up to 25-years in prison for each count if convicted.
