On Wednesday, Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro said the county saw 26 new cases of Covid 19. That's the largest increase since May, but the county is looking into the possibility of false-positives after a lab error.

Thirteen tests performed at Northern Dutchess residential Health Care in Rhinebeck came back positive for Covid 19, but those were later determined to be negative. Ten of the new cases were located in prisons, others were scattered through the county but don't appear connected.

There has only been one reported death since June 19, and the amount of positive cases is at 208.
