Heat Advisory Issued For Monday

It's another hot day on tap for the Mid Hudson Valley on Monday as temperatures will again peak in the 90's. The humidity level could make it feel like the low 100's.

Christina Speciale from the National Weather Service tells the Poughkeepsie Journal:

We are trying to tell people to take it easy. And if you are outside, try to limit any kind of arduous outdoor work. If you do have to do it and you're in construction, certainly take more breaks, have extra water and make sure you have appropriate clothing to stay safe from the heat.

The heat advisory is in effect Monday from 11am to 8pm. The WKIP First Warning Weather Team and our partners at HudsonValleyWeather.com will keep you updated throughout the day.
