HIGHLAND – An 84-year-old Highland woman was killed on Tuesday when her car rolled back in her driveway and struck her.
Lloyd Town Police said the woman had pulled into her driveway on Sterling Place at around 4:30 p.m.
She got out of the vehicle when it began to roll back in the driveway.
She attempted to stop it and was struck and killed.
The accident remains under investigation.
Lloyd Police were assisted at the scene by Highland Fire Department, State Police, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, and Mobile life Support Services ambulance.
