Poughkeepsie Police Seek Public Assistance in Smith Street Shooting

The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department (CPPD) is appealing to the public for information regarding a shooting incident that occurred on Smith Street. The shooting took place in the early hours of Monday (November 25), according to a report by NEWS10 ABC.

Upon responding to reports of shots fired around 12:26 a.m., officers found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his thigh. The victim was promptly attended to by first responders and transported to a local hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury. Detectives and crime scene technicians collected multiple pieces of evidence from the scene.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing, and the CPPD is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them at (845)451-7577.
