A Massachusetts man, Anthony Price-Baynes, is appearing in court this week after a police chase ended with him striking a Hudson Police Department vehicle. The incident occurred last Thursday (December 5) at the intersection of State Route 9H and State Route 82 in Livingston. Price-Baynes, 31, from Pittsfield, Massachusetts, was being pursued by New York State Police and Hudson officers due to an active warrant for his arrest.

During the chase, Price-Baynes collided with a police car. He and his passenger, Kimberly Longe, 32, were found with approximately 24.7 grams of fentanyl, 7 grams of heroin, and 0.4 grams of cocaine in their possession. Both were charged with multiple offenses, including criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a class B felony. Price-Baynes also faces charges of attempted assault on a police officer and reckless endangerment, among others.

According to New York State Police, both individuals were arraigned in Claverack Court. Longe was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Livingston Court on December 12. Price-Baynes, however, was remanded to Columbia County Jail without bail and will appear in court on December 10.
