An investigation is underway after human skeletal remains were discovered in Hudson, New York, on Monday (December 9). A survey crew found the remains in a wooded area near Mill Street around 11:18 a.m. The Hudson Police Department, along with the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Identification Unit, is working to identify the remains.
According to a report from Hudson Valley 360, officers and detectives responded promptly to the scene and confirmed the remains were human. The discovery has prompted a joint investigation between local and state authorities.
The Times Union noted that the police are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward. The investigation is still in its early stages, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
