A man has been arrested and charged with robbery in Poughkeepsie. Police officers responded to a disturbance on May Street just before 10 p.m. on Wednesday (December 18). They attempted to contact 39-year-old Arnold Falgiano, who was wanted for a felony robbery in the Town of Poughkeepsie. After a brief foot chase, officers apprehended Falgiano and handed him over to the Town of Poughkeepsie Police.
Falgiano has a history of legal issues. In a previous incident, he was arrested in 2015 following a traffic stop in the Town of Wappinger. During that incident, Falgiano fled on foot but was eventually captured. He faced multiple charges, including resisting arrest and aggravated unlicensed operation, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
The current robbery charges against Falgiano are serious, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. The authorities have not released further details about the robbery incident.
