An Ellenville woman, Tammy Hyatt, 56, died in a tragic car crash on Saturday night (January 18) in Wawarsing, New York. The accident occurred around 10:55 p.m. on Otens Road when Hyatt's 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe veered off the road and struck a tree. Despite life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Hyatt was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Adverse weather conditions are believed to have contributed to the crash. The New York State Police are currently investigating and have requested that any witnesses contact the Highland barracks at 845-691-2922, referencing case number NY2500048941. According to Times Union, the police are still gathering information to understand the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
