A Newburgh man, Kaliek Goode-Ford, faces life in prison without parole after being convicted of a brutal triple murder. On Thursday (January 23), a jury found Goode-Ford guilty of multiple charges, including three counts of first-degree murder and attempted murder, for the 2020 killings of a family in Newburgh.

According to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler, Goode-Ford, 35, entered a residence and fatally shot Jimmy Crisantos, 27, his wife Shatavia Crisantos, 26, and their nine-year-old son, Giovanni Tambino. He also shot a three-year-old boy five times, who miraculously survived the attack. After the shootings, Goode-Ford attempted to dispose of the evidence by throwing the gun and magazine into the Hudson River.

District Attorney Hoovler expressed his gratitude to the Town of Newburgh Police Department, New York State Police, FBI, and the NYSP Dive Team for their roles in the investigation and arrest of Goode-Ford. Hoovler described the crime as "utterly vicious and senseless," emphasizing the depravity of Goode-Ford's actions.

Goode-Ford remains in custody at the Orange County Jail without bail and is scheduled for sentencing on March 18. He faces a sentence of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
