Two Cars Stolen in Poughkeepsie This Morning

The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department is investigating two car thefts that occurred early Friday morning (January 31). The first incident happened just before 6:30 a.m. on Hudson Avenue. The victim reported starting her car to warm it up, only to find it missing upon her return. While officers were at the scene, they received a report of a second stolen vehicle in the same area. Both incidents remain under investigation.

Authorities are urging residents to avoid leaving vehicles unsecured and unattended. They also encourage anyone with information to contact the department's confidential tip line at (845) 451-7577. The police remind the community to stay vigilant as car thieves continue to target the area.
