Ulster County Comptroller March Gallagher has identified severe financial issues at the Samadhi Recovery Community Outreach Center in Kingston. In response, Samadhi's Executive Director, David McNamara, has accused Gallagher of targeting the center to boost her re-election campaign. McNamara, who founded Samadhi in 2019, stated that the center will no longer seek contracts with Ulster County due to Gallagher's actions.
