Dutchess County is set to celebrate its 30th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade tomorrow (March 1) in Wappingers Falls, New York. The event will kick off with a mass at Saint Mary's Church at 9 a.m., followed by the parade at noon. The parade will be led by Grand Marshal Margo Maher, who has been an active member of the community and the parade committee for 12 years. Maher, originally from County Dublin, Ireland, has contributed significantly to local activities, including volunteering with Meals on Wheels and participating in church events.
The parade will feature various groups, decorations, and floats, with strict rules in place. Participants are reminded that alcohol is prohibited along the parade route, and candy cannot be thrown from moving vehicles. Officials have outlined these rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees. The parade is expected to draw a large crowd, with roads closing at 12:30 p.m. for the festivities.
iHeartMedia Hudson Valley proudly supports the event, which brings together the community to celebrate Irish heritage.
