Aspiring actors in the Hudson Valley have a unique opportunity to appear in "Non-View," an upcoming film directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Emily Blunt. Grant Wilfley Casting, Inc. is seeking extras for scenes that will be filmed in Catskill and Haines Falls on April 9 and 11. The roles available include hotel guests, diner patrons, and drivers with their own vehicles.
No prior acting experience is required, but applicants must be at least 18 years old and local to the area. Compensation is set at $216 for SAG-AFTRA members for eight hours and $181.50 for non-union actors for ten hours. An additional $37.50 car allowance is offered for those using their vehicles on set.
Interested individuals should email nonview@gwcnyc.com with the subject line "HVFC Greene County Locals." They need to include their name, phone number, preferred pronouns, availability, SAG-AFTRA membership status, and any visible tattoos. Applicants should also attach recent non-professional close-up and full-body photos, and if applicable, details and a photo of their car.
The film, which has the working title "The Dish," is reported to be a UFO-related movie and is set for release next year. The production has already filmed in locations such as White Plains and Montvale, New Jersey.
For those interested in participating, transportation and accommodations are not provided, so they must arrange their own. This casting call presents a rare chance for local talent to be part of a major film production.
