The Columbia Greene Humane Society (CGHS) in Hudson, New York, is set to host a Pet First Aid Training class on Wednesday, May 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at their shelter on Humane Society Road. Attendees will learn essential skills for handling pet emergencies, including CPR, recognizing signs of heat stroke, hypothermia, allergies, and poisoning. The training will also cover wound care, burns, and eye issues.

The class requires a $20 donation, with proceeds benefiting CGHS and the non-profit organization Odin’s Fund. Interested participants can reserve their spot by contacting the shelter at 518-828-6044 or emailing info@cghs.org.

This training offers pet owners a valuable opportunity to gain life-saving skills for their furry companions. It emphasizes the importance of being prepared for emergencies that may involve pets.
