A car seat safety check is scheduled to take place in Hudson tomorrow (Saturday, March 22). The event will be held at the Hudson Central Station Fire House, located at 77 North 7th Street, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free event is open to parents and anyone with child seats in their vehicles, providing an opportunity to ensure their car seats are properly installed and safe for use.

The City of Hudson Police Department is organizing the event, and no appointments are necessary. Certified inspectors will be on-site to assist and educate participants on the correct installation of car seats, which is crucial for the safety of young passengers. According to New York State Traffic Safety, ensuring that car seats are correctly installed can significantly reduce the risk of injury in the event of an accident.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote child passenger safety across New York State. For those unable to attend tomorrow's event, additional car seat check events are scheduled throughout the state. More information can be found on the New York State Traffic Safety website.
