Two teenagers have been charged following a series of burglaries in Hudson. The Hudson Police Department arrested a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old in March, connecting them to multiple thefts that occurred in January and February. The teens are facing several charges, including burglary and petit larceny.

The burglaries took place at several locations across the city. On January 18, security footage captured one suspect entering Savona’s Trattoria and Bar on Warren Street through a window, while the other acted as a lookout. They allegedly stole $270 from the cash registers. Another incident involved a break-in at Casa Latina Restaurant on Green Street, where a suspect reportedly broke a window lock and took $300 from the cash register. Fingerprints collected from the scene helped identify the suspects, leading to their arrests.

In February, a wallet was stolen at Sam’s Market, and the victim's credit cards were used at an ATM and vending machines. Additionally, a burglary at Stella’s Pizza Restaurant resulted in the theft of a cash register drawer containing $150. The 16-year-old was charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

All cases are being handled in youth court. The police used fingerprints and security footage to track down the suspects. The 16-year-old suspect has a prior history of legal trouble. According to the Daily Gazette, both teens were charged with multiple burglary-related charges, including third-degree burglary and petit larceny. WNYT reported that all three teens involved are having their cases handled in youth court. CBS6 Albany noted that the juveniles and their guardians were issued appearance tickets for Columbia County Court - Youth Part.
