Investigation Continues Into Fatal Marlborough Crash

An investigation is underway into a fatal crash that occurred in Marlborough on Saturday (April 5). According to New York State Police, 34-year-old Mariah Hyde from Poughkeepsie lost control of her 2014 Kia Sorento while traveling northbound on Old Post Road and struck a tree on the eastern shoulder. Hyde was pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by the Daily Freeman.

The crash happened early in the morning, around 5:22 a.m., and Hyde was the only person in the vehicle. State Police from the Highland Bureau of Criminal Investigation are leading the ongoing investigation. They urge anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward with information. Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Marlborough Police Department, as noted by NEWS10 ABC.
