The City of Kingston's Historic Landmarks Preservation Commission has transitioned its application and review process to a new online platform. This digital shift aims to streamline the application process and enhance collaboration among applicants, city officials, and the public. The platform, launched last month, was developed by local tech company MuniCollab and aligns with Kingston's updated zoning code.

According to Mayor Steven T. Noble, the platform offers a more accessible, efficient, and transparent process. The system digitizes the entire review, from initial application submission through final decision-making, providing transparency and record-keeping throughout. The new platform can be accessed at cityofkingstonny.municollab.com.

Andrea B. Puetz, HLPC Architect Representative, highlighted the platform's user-friendly design, which auto-populates basic information and tailors applications to specific projects. This move is part of Kingston's broader efforts to modernize its development processes and achieve the goals outlined in the Kingston 2025 Comprehensive Plan.
