A home health care aide in Saugerties is facing multiple charges after allegedly trying to steal a car from her client. New York State Police arrested 30-year-old Shana Shaw, accusing her of forging a vehicle title belonging to a physically disabled client and presenting it to the Department of Motor Vehicles to claim ownership. Shaw faces charges including grand larceny, possession of a forged instrument, falsifying business records, and endangering the welfare of a physically disabled person.
The arrest was made on Wednesday (April 9) following an investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation. According to New York State Police, Shaw was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the City of Poughkeepsie Justice Court on Tuesday (April 15) at 9:00 a.m.
