Ulster County is set to unveil its new Arts and Culture Plan with a virtual presentation on Tuesday (April 22). The plan, named "IMAGINE Ulster," aims to enhance community building, economic growth, education, and tourism through arts and culture. The presentation will be available for viewing at several locations across the county, including Kingston, Saugerties, Woodstock, New Paltz, Ellenville, and Pine Hill.
According to Participate Ulster, the event will begin with sign-in at 5:45 PM, followed by the presentation from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, and a community discussion from 7:00 to 7:30 PM. The presentation will also be recorded and made available online for those unable to attend in person.
The plan, developed with input from hundreds of residents and stakeholders, outlines strategies to strengthen Ulster's cultural presence and creative economy. County Executive Jen Metzger emphasized the plan's role as a roadmap for investing in and celebrating the arts across the region. The Town of Lloyd highlighted the importance of this initiative in fostering community connection and economic vitality.
For more information and to view the plan, residents can visit Participate Ulster's website. The county encourages community members to join the watch parties to share their thoughts and help bring this vision to life.
