Two men from Hudson face charges following a dramatic incident involving a handgun. On April 16, Hudson City Police arrested Kyjuan Hotaling and LaTrell Young, both 22, after they allegedly discarded a firearm from their vehicle during a high-speed chase. The incident began when officers from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office were responding to an attempted suicide call and observed a firearm being thrown from a car in front of them.

According to the Daily Gazette, both men were charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony. The chase concluded in a parking lot on North Front Street, where both suspects were apprehended without further incident. A loaded automatic handgun was recovered near the location where it was discarded.

Following their arrest, Hotaling and Young were arraigned in Hudson City Court. CBS6 Albany reports that Hotaling was remanded to Columbia County Jail on $25,000 cash bail, while Young's bail was set at $5,000. Both defendants are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
